Description

Offered is an authentic late 19th-century Galvano Faradic Manufacturing Company electrotherapy apparatus housed in its original oak cabinet. The interior retains its original patent plaque, which lists patent dates of February 1, 1870, May 30, 1871, and March 26, 1872, along with many of its original components, including the induction coil, rotary selector, electrodes, wiring, battery compartment drawers, and hardware. These electrotherapy devices were marketed during the Victorian era for electrical stimulation treatments and represent an important chapter in the history of early medicine and electrical science. This example displays beautifully and would make an exceptional addition to a collection of antique medical instruments, scientific apparatus, apothecary items, or Victorian technology.

This antique apparatus remains in good condition for its age. The oak cabinet shows expected wear, surface scratches, finish loss, and age-related patina consistent with over a century of use. Many original components appear to be present; however, the operating condition is unknown and the unit has not been tested. It is being offered as a collectible display piece. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the description.
